My name is Rosie

I am a Vinyasa and Yin yoga teacher based in South London. 

I hold 500hours + training from a blend of Western and Eastern teachers. 

My approach to holding Yoga spaces draws influence from my years working in mental health services as a nurse, a therapist and my counselling training.

The language of the body

My intention when teaching is to honour the wisdom of the body. Our bodies can be our biggest teacher if we learn to listen.

Yoga is a practice that holds the potential power to help us reconnect with this voice, and to guide us to our true selves. I have studied ancient philosophies and modern science to explore the value of Yoga to positively influence the human experience. 

 

Our nervous systems shape how we show up in the world. Some of us have more challenges when it comes to self-regulation and safety. I teach Vinyasa (yang/fire), Yin (cooling/ stillness) and Yinyasa (a blend of both). Harnessing and balancing these energies that are both opposing, and complimentary is my focus. Pranayama, breathwork and meditation are at the heart of Yoga, these techniques are therefore paramount to my offering. 

A journey through the light, the dark, and all that lies in-between.....

About Me

From the front line to the Mat.......

In 2020 I was working at a Mental health crisis centre set up in response to the Covid outbreak, I was burnt-out and drained from absorbing all I encountered. Although I have a real passion for caring for others, I needed a light. I needed to find some reprieve. I needed something to sustain me. I knew yoga had always been nourishing, I had toyed with the idea of completing a 200hour for many years, it was at this point that I finally applied. I trained over 1 year with 'Yoga London' under the Ashtanga Vinyasa Lineage, it really was my lifeline, and the most precious gift I could give myself. Offering Yoga unites my passion for supporting mental health, with my belief in Yoga as a powerful tool for wellbeing and healing.

...It was important for me to travel to India & learn from the culture that Yoga was birthed from. 
Studying Yin & Pranayama during my 300hour in Goa has given me the opportunity to hold nourishing supportive spaces, with a greater focus on working with subtle energies
 & deepening introspection.
